Ban Krang Camp at the Kaeng Krachan National Park is a recommended siter to see an amazing display of butterflies, typically gathering around surface water during the heat of the day from now and through May.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand is eager to promote either day visits, but also encourages camping trips to the park during butterfly season.
However for those who object to dual pricing, the bad news is that entrance fees to the park are described as 60 THB and 30 THB for Thai adults and kids but 300 THB and 150 THB for foreigners.
