The Be Well Dental department was opened in November 2022, bringing a personalised, safe and friendly environment using the latest technology to members and patients in Hua Hin. They have combined European experience with the skills of Thai dentists to bring you the highest quality of dental care.
On Saturday (18th February) a seminar, led by dental experts presenting information and giving explanations about how to keep your teeth young and healthy, addressed aspects of degeneration prevention, restorative dentistry (e.g. crowns & amp; bridges) and esthetic treatments (e.g. whitening, veneers).
Special attention was given to implants, covering the possibilities, risks and costs of various therapies. Additionally, the role of dentistry in the early detection of oral cancer, also known as mouth cancer, where a tumour develops in a part of the mouth. It may be on the surface of the tongue, the inside of the cheeks, the roof of the mouth (palate), the lips or gums.
It’s always important that you have regular dental check-ups to consider all aspects of dental degeneration, but a dentist can also often spot the early stages of mouth cancer.

Dr. Claus Petersmann, PhD
Dr. Claus studied medicines and dentistry at the universities in Marburg, Cologne, and Freiburg where he obtained his doctoral degree at the Albert Ludwigs University with a thesis on oral pain management. Dr. Claus started his career in the department of oral, jaw, and face surgery at a hospital and clinic in North Germany. For 30+ years, until his retirement in 2021, he practiced general dentistry in his own dental centers in Germany and Switzerland. Dr. Claus is specialized in implantology and founding Member of the German Association of Oral Implantology. Since November 2022 Dr. Claus is the general manager of the dental department of the Be Well Medical Center.
Dr. Pavinee Padipatvuthikul Didron, MDentSci, MBA, PhD
Pavinee studied dentistry at the Chulalongkorn University after which she continued specialized training in Restorative Dentistry and Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Liverpool where she received a PhD in the field of “Dental Biomaterials” Since 2008, she became a lecturer and researcher in restorative dentistry and dental materials at the Srinakharin Wirot University (SWU). She obtained her post-doctoral fellowship in biomaterial research from the University of Sydney in 2012 Since 2017 Dr. Pavinee leads the SWU dental hospital as hospital director.

Associate Professor Dr. Sorasun Rungsiyanonte PhD
Dr. Sorasun studied dentistry at Chiang Mai University and Chulalongkorn University and obtained a PhD in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine at the Tokyo Medical & Dental University. He is a former President of the Thai Society of Oral Diagnostic Sciences and The Oral diseases group and a member of the advisory board of both societies. Dr. Sorasun is an associate professor in the department of oral surgery and oral medicine of the Faculty of Dentistry of the SWU. His research focuses on hard tissue engineering, biomaterials and probiotics.
Col. Dr. Tanakrit Noppakunwijai DDS., BPA., MPA., FRCDS
Dr. Tanakrit is a specialist in maxillofacial surgery and implantology. He is the President of the Thai Association of Dental Implantology. Dr. Tanakrit works as an oral surgeon at the Thanarat Hospital and is a visiting specialist at the Be Well Medical Center.
Dr. Supawit (“Man”) Panichnuntanakul DDS.
Dr. Man is the general practitioner dentist at the Be Well Medical Center. He is a graduate of the dental faculty of Srinakarin Wirot University and with Dr. Tanakrit commenting that he was one of his best students.
Dr. Thomas Lagger
Thomas is a general practitioner dentist from Stuttgart Germany who recently retired in Hua Hin. He is an adviser to the Be Well Medical Center’s dental department.
