SKYWALKS IN THAILAND, HOW ABOUT HIN LEK FAI?

At Wat Saeng Kaew Phothiyan in Chiang Rai, Valentine’s Day saw the opening of Thailand’s most recently built skywalk, a three-storey glass structure alongside the 50 x 21 metre statue of the Maitreya Buddha.

There have been many similar skywalks appearing in scenic locations around Thailand, apart from those at high rise city buildings.

The possibility of such a structure being built at the Hin Lek Fai lookout has been placed on the agenda, with discussions happening about what that would mean for Hua Hin.
