Mr. Thammanoon Sriwatthana, Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province has invited tourists to visit the reopened Guangzhou Floating Market, an amazing verdant floating market in the middle of the forest, with a cool atmosphere next to natural waterways.
This is a relaxing place surrounded by nature offering a huge variety of delicious local food with boats on the waterways selling their wares amidst the coolness of nature.
For tourists who love nature, just walk through the entrance with a green bamboo forest lining the way with shade and a fresh atmosphere, like natural air conditioning before reaching the floating market beneath the hillside.

Development of the area has been through a sustainable water management process and tree planting with the advice of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to transform the arid landscape into a beautiful lush forest.

Local villagers bring their produce to sell including organic vegetables, fruits or even grilled eggs that may not be available to taste anywhere else. Also a variety of savory dishes, desserts, fried chicken, smoked squid, papaya salad, and many unusual coloutful and aromatic herbs. Hmong recipes add to the cultural experience.

No foam food containers are used and you’ll be offered a banana leaf plate for the delicious food and unusual souvenirs to take home. Children can have fun scattering fish food from a bridge or rent a boat to paddle around on the tranquil waters. There are also water rapids and waterfalls nearby as well as natural hot springs.

Entertainment from a stage over the water may include traditional music and dancing by members of the local community proudly displaying their age-old costumes and cultural heritage.

Visit the Guangzhou Floating Market at Yang Nam Klat Nuea Subdistrict Nong Ya Plong District Phetchaburi Province, 65 kilometres north from Cha-Am.
