THE ROYAL COAST RIVIERA CLUB – ‘GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS’

The Royal Coast Riviera Club (RCRC) is rapidly becoming a leading voice aiming to develop the region as a quality tourism and lifestyles destination, ’recognising the unique heritage, natural beauty, environment, attractions and special character of the region.’

As a founding Member, the Royal Coast Review attends monthly meetings of the RCRC, along with the region’s hospitality and tourism leaders.  The July meeting took place on 8th July at the Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort with Joseph Della Gatta, General Manager in attendance.

Unfortunately at the July meeting, one of the designated speakers along with a number of other usual attendees were unable to attend, victims of a resurgence in Covid-19.

Pornprasith Sibunruang, Founder & CEO of 88 Cannatek Co.Ltd., described the company undertakings; specialising in investing in new economic cash crops, particularly cannabis and hemp. Khun Pornprasith spoke about the legalisation of cannabis and the associated difficulties, a very topical subject as Thailand has unlocked these substances from the narcotics list.  The key message was that many current uncertainties are likely to be resolved with the regulation of this previously illegal substance anticipated in coming months.

Phil Lawrence, President of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin spoke to the meeting of Rotary’s commitments to the local community.  He also mentioned that arrangements are now underway for the Club’s main fund-raising event, the annual golf charity day, being planned for November this year with sponsorship opportunities now on offer.  See more about Rotary at the recent WOW!
