Created by Hua Hin locals Robyn Lynch and Vivien Cullen., a recently published Facebook group aims to provide the necessary information for locals and visitors to Hua Hin find out more about how walking around the region can be such a revealing and enjoyable experience.
Visiting this site provides details of recommended walks featuring a local area with spectacular panoramic views, a temple to explore, or an activity. Walks include both rural locations but also around the inner city or around local attractions with differing degrees of difficulty and varying distances.
The administrators are frequently out and about exploring new walks and say that once they have posted a good selection, are hoping that members of the group will select a walk and create an Event on a day and at a time that suits them. “It will be a great way to explore the wonderful area that we live in, make some new friends, and try some local restaurants.”

For example taking an easy walk around the village of Khao Tao, checking out the beach and the lake, and perhaps grabbing some great food and drink along the way. Before sunrise each morning, a lady sets up a stall and serves excellent coffee by the lake – a perfect way to start the day after this walk.
Alternatively a more challenging walk, but with huge payoffs in terms of views and interesting sights. The walk starts at the King’s Pavilion and takes you past the Khao Tao fishing village. From there you head to the Temple Cave, then up a number of flights of stairs to the Big Buddha. From the Big Buddha you have an uninterrupted view over Khao Tao, and down to Khao Takiab.
