A flotilla of kayaks has descended on Koh Ku Ram, an island just offshore from Sam Roi Yod to both undertake a clean-up project but also to promote kayaking as a welcome activity at the location.

Coordinated by Mr. Isrin Sothorajitt, the head of the National Park of Khao Sam Roi Yod, along with local district administrators and volunteers the project collected garbage on the island and began to address environmental issues to restore coral reefs and promote sustainable tourism, with a focus on kayaking.
This is a very environmentally friendly activity, without the noise and effect on the marine life of motorised sports such as jet-skiing. Kayaking is very suitable to the location with protected calm waters and the island within easy paddling reach.

Visitors are being invited to the location and to enjoy this activity to promote the location as a future kayaking destination.
