RECOGNISING THE BIRTHDAY OF HM KING RAMA IX – FATHER’S DAY SUNDAY 5TH DECEMBER

Sunday 5th December is the birthday of His Majesty King Rama IX.  Bhumibol Adulyadej, conferred with the title King Bhumibol the Great in 1987, was the ninth monarch of Thailand from the Chakri dynasty, titled Rama IX. 

RECOGNISING THE BIRTHDAY OF HM KING RAMA IX – FATHER’S DAY SUNDAY 5TH DECEMBER

‘Hua Hin, Father’s House will be a cultural event on 5th December at Rajabhakti Park In his remembrance as one of Thailand’s Great Kings where the statues of other Great Kings tower over the grounds where classic Thai dancing and other ceremonial activities will take place. from 5.30 PM.

The entrance to the Klai Kangwon Palace, the primary summer royal residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, will also see respect being paid to his memory by members of the community.  

Monday 6th December is a public holiday recognising the esteem the late King continues to be regarded across Thailand.  The birthday of King Rama IX is also recognised as Father’s Day.
