Mr Pipat Patthananusorn, General Manager of the Dusit Thani Hua Hin has welcomed invited guests to signal that the Dusit is now welcoming the start of the Christmas and New Year festive season in style.
On Tuesday evening (14th December) we joined representatives of regional tourism and hospitality bodies and VIP guest Mr. Nattawut Petchpromsorn, Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province for a festive pre-Christmas gathering at the Dusit.
The brightest signal was to turn on the thousands of lights on a huge Christmas tree, some 30 metres in height, shining out across the resort’s central lake; although the Dusit has gone all out to offer the sights and sounds of Christmas throughout the hotel.
Hearing John Lennan’s song, ‘’Happy Christmas (War is Over)’’ was a poignant reminder of the war on Covid-19. Maybe not a war completely over, but the evening was an optimistic sign that with the necessary safeguards in place, locals and visitors can again enjoy festive events with confidence and a glass of fine wine in hand.
GM Khun Pipat has managed many changes at the Dusit during the lockdown period, including the complete refurbishing of rooms and much more to come. This will see a new South American themed restaurant opening in early 2022 and an expansion of the hotel’s own organic vegetable farm.
The Royal Coast Review will be meeting again with Khun Pipat in the New Year to better understand what’s in store.
Our thanks for his invitation and warm welcome back to the Dusit Thani. The spirit and optimism of Christmas with the lights, sounds and colours of the festive season really has returned to Hua Hin.
