A Police investigation team have raided a led by Pol Col Nirundon Sirisangchai from the Pranburi police, have made arrests of a large number of suspects alleged to have been playing cards at a gambling house in the Khao Noi Subdistrict, of Pranburi.
At total of 27 suspects were arrested, along with the items and 5,000 baht in cash confiscated. Gomet Sinthao, 52 years old was questioned about organising the gambling along with Sirichai Sila Thong, 44 years old, as the suspected dealer.
The charges relate to committing offences of illegal gambling as well as violating the terms of orders issued under the Emergency Decree, due to the Covid-19 situation.
Appearances in the Hua Hin Provincial Court resulted in all those charged pleading guilty to the charges with the main offender being imprisoned for 2 months and the second person imprisoned for 1 month. Fines were imposed on the others convicted.
The court allowed a release pending appeal but required bail of 50,000 baht in cash.
