Members of the Hua Hin municipality have met with State Railway of Thailand officials at the Hua Hin Railway Station to discuss the future of the old trees alongside the iconic station.

The municipality recognises the importance of these trees which are symbolic to the streetscape of the area and preserving them for the future is very important.
There are five old Chamchuri trees in the train station area with one obstructing future road expansion work. Some pruning may be necessary as additional to the road expansion, large branches can be hazardous as they are prone to breaking off when there are storms.
One of the trees may need to be moved with further investigation of that possibility to be considered.
