The regular Air Asia flights from Hua Hin International Airport to Udon Thani and Chiang Mai, usually scheduled each week on Friday and Sunday, have been suspended; effective immediately and likely to apply until mid-May.
The announcement follows reports that a person who is a senior manager at the airport, was tested positive for Covid-19 on 23rd April and was admitted to hospital although without serious symptoms.

Other staff deemed to be at high risk after direct contact with the infected person have also now been isolated. Other staff at low risk are currently continuing their duties with the strict enforcement of mask wearing and other preventative measures in place.
The airport has undergone a very thorough disinfection and cleaning by a specialist team. Apart from suspending the only scheduled commercial flights, the airport will continue to operate with helicopter medical evacuation flights and other occasional chartered flights.
