The government has set aside 300,000 rai of land to redistribute to low-income farmers who do not have their own properties to work on by the end of the year.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said the National Committee on Land Policy agreed that the land would be released to the hard-up farmers, and will next find more such land in all 76 provinces for this project.
He said the government was still working on a set of regulations to ensure the farmland redistribution would be totally fair.
