The Thai Hotels Association (THA) has asked the government to implement guidelines for vaccinated tourists. Tourism operators are asking the government to allow the entry of international tourists who can verify they have received the full vaccination against COVID-19 without requiring a 14 day quarantine.
The president of the THA said the government should start researching guidelines for vaccinated tourists to enter the country without undergoing a 14 day quarantine – these tourists would be from countries that had undergone a complete vaccination program.
The THA suggested that the government could require visitors to have vaccination certificates or set up a travel plan via bilateral agreements to establish similar travel standards between countries.
In other suggestions the THA are seeking salary support measures, 50% wages co-payment for 12 months to maintain original employment, moratorium measures, low-interest loan measures and extensions of mitigation measures of electricity users by requesting a 15% reduction in electricity bills.
