Throughout today (Thursday) search teams from the Sawang Sanphet Thammasathan Foundation Rescue Team along with relevant departments have been looking for two men missing at the Mae Prachan dam in Phetchaburi.
The two men are named as Sergeant Major Montri Yenjai, age 29, a soldier under the 52 Chor 1 battalion, Ratchaburi Province, and a 29-year-old police sergeant, Sombat Bua-ngarm, a police officer under the Special Operations Command, Yala Provincial Police.
At the scene, a small black-blue boat was found submerged in the water about 200 metres from the shore with a black Toyota pickup truck parked at the shore.
Mrs. Yupin Yenjai said that the previous evening the two men had decided to take the boat on the pickup truck for a fishing expedition but they did not return by morning, prompting her to telephone the police to come to investigate.
As the search continues into the night, grave fears are held for the two missing men.
