An injured and very sick wild elephant has been stuck to a manmade pond in the Pranburi district since December 10th.

The endangered elephant has been unable to get up for a few days and is looking weaker by the day.

With the intervention of the Wildlife Friends Foundation’s Edwin Wiek, on Monday a team of veterinarians will come from Bangkok, but Edwin seriously wishes they could come earlier than that.
The elephant is a young bull and it seems it has a bullet wound to his right front leg, it is not eating and is seriously bloated. Edwin says “time is ticking, wish we could do something ASAP.”
