A van travelling from Chumphon with 10 travellers intending to attend a bird racing event is In Nakhon Nayok, has left the road, crashing into a tree leaving three dead and seven injured.
Police from the Kui Buri Police Station were notified of the cash at around 5 AM on Friday December 11th and attended the scene on Phetchakasim Road with rescue and ambulance units.
The crash scene revealed a Toyota van which had struck a road side tree with four injured people outside the vehicle and others trapped inside. After using rescue equipment three more injured people were found however two women and a two-year-old girl were fatalities.
One of the injured travellers said he had been with his relatives traveling from Lamae District, Chumphon Province to attend a bird racing event in Nakhon Nayok Province. He assumed that the driver had fallen asleep to cause the crash.
