At 12.40 AM on December 25th, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sunantharodphet, an investigation officer of the Kui Buri Police Station, was informed of a shooting incident at the Baan Yen Food Garden in the Kui Buri District of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The police reported finding blood and 9 mm shells AT THE SCENE and were informed that two men with gunshot wounds had been taken to the Kui Buri Hospital.
One man, named as Phuchong Saengsai had been shot in the torso and head ten times, a second man, named as Thanasit Yue Kuan had similarly been shot six times. Both men died from their injuries.
Witnesses said the shooter had been eating and drinking with the victims and a number of other men at the restaurant when an argument broke out late in the evening.
The man, known only by the nickname ‘Çhalerm’, ís reported to have then left the restaurant but soon returned holding a gun; firing around 20 times at the victims until running out of bullets. He then fled the scene.
Police questioned a waitress and other witnesses before an arrest warrant was issued with the alleged shooter now being sought for questioning.
