Before envoys of King Rama VI established Hua Hin as the preferred holiday destination for generations of the highest echelons of Thai society almost one hundred years ago, Hua Hin was a quiet fishing village with those early seafaring folk realising the plentiful bounties of the ocean.
This New Year the Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort will be celebrating that seafaring culture, not only the seafood cuisine for which Hua Hin has become renowned, but the simple and carefree lifestlyle far away from the worries of the world.
A ‘Fishermen’s New Year’ will transform the beachfront resort into a fishermen’s village to offer a taste of the seafaring culture that remains a feature of the royal coast lifestyle to welcome the New Year and the promise of a brand new start.
On offer will be a sumptous buffet from live food stations featuring the cuisine of four Thailand regions to savour on the beach sands beneath a pavillion or tee-pee or on a bean bag pool-side at the Rim Talay restaurant.
As the countdown to midnight begins, there’ll be an enthralling fire show on the beach with the sounds of DJ Zani to get you dancing. Fishing boats and their crews will be on hand as a great photo opportunity; now you know why Hua Hin has the freshest seafood!
