An exhibition of watercolour painting by 16 Thai artists will open for public viewing from Friday 20th November until 20th December at Baan Silipin AKA Hua Hin Artist Village.
If you’ve never been to Baan Silipin or maybe it’s been a while since you took some time out to stroll amongst the displays of art, apart from the exhibition it may be time to check out the many artists at work in their studios or tune into a workshop offering a hands-on experience.
Baan Silapin is the brainchild of Khun Thawaee Kaesangarm and Khun Nang Wanwimol. Thawee is the President of the Thailand Water Society and the couple are both renowned artists with many international awards and exhibitions to their name.
Their gallery complex exhibits works from Thailand’s artists all year round, music events as well as offering various art courses for children and those who wish to take their love of art to the next level.
There’s nothing formal or rigid about this place. Many people come here to unleash their creativity and imagination. Art workshops take place almost every day, and you can join in if you have a few hours to spare.
There’s also cafes to enjoy a cup of coffee or a casual meal as you immerse yourself in the quirky environment. Before you know it, you might feel an urge to pick up a paintbrush and start creating your own work, kids are more than welcome.
