The Thailand Tigers, the Bangkok based Australian Rules Football team recently brought with them some underprivileged kids in conjunction with the Duang Prateep Foundation from Khlong Toi to play in The Amarinda Cup, an international Rules football competition at True Arena Hua Hin. Some had never been outside Bangkok before so this was an amazing experience for them.
The team played four top quality quarters of footy at True Arena before going for a meal, a tour of Rajabhakti Park and finally, an afternoon at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Water Park.
To show their appreciation the Club received a letter of appreciation from one of the participants named Champ with which has been translated below:
“I had a great time to playing footy in Hua Hin. There were great snacks on the very comfortable (double-decker!) bus and great seafood at the restaurant where we had our lunch.
My friends and I had a great time at Rajabhakti Park, it was very interesting, especially all the statues that were there.
The tour guides were very friendly to us all too, they were very helpful and treated us very well. Thank you very much P’ Nut and P’ Nai.
The biggest highlight for us was the time spent at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Water Park. It was so much fun, a place we would not be able to go without your very generous donations to us all.
Thank you again. My friends and I really hope to have these great opportunities again in the future. We had so much fun. We will do our best to listen to our coaches and to improve our skills by practising football more. So that we can have such opportunities again.
Thank you to the Thailand Tigers for making this all possible for my friends and I.”
