As a charitable day worldwide, the beneficiaries of this year’s International Chef’s Day on Tuesday (October 20th) in Hua Hin were doctors, nurses, patients and their relatives at the Hua Hin Hospital.
Chefs from many local restaurants and resorts descended on the hospital and prepared around 2,000 freshly cooked ham cheese with fresh coffee, pork porridge and a variety of other dishes made from ingredients donated by the Hua Hin Chef’s Society and local suppliers under the concept of ‘healthy food for heroes’.
Hua Hin mayor Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul. and Deputy Mayor Mr. Moontri Chuphu demonstrated their own culinary skills in joining the chefs to many eager (and hungry) diners at the hospital.
In 2004, Dr. Bill Gallagher implemented International Chefs Day to celebrate the profession and to share and pass on our knowledge and culinary skills. The World Chef Society promotes International Chef’s Day on October 20th each year.
