MANAGING EROSION ISSUES ALONG THE ROYAL COAST

Mr. Warawut, Silpacha, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment with other officials has been investigating coastal erosion in the Royal Coast region.

The region has many structures to prevent coastal erosion, including sand dams, offshore defensive dams and beach wave protection walls.

Some structures are negatively impacting surrounding areas and the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources has been asked to solve the issues.  The Minister says it is important to maintain the balance of coastal erosion in a sustainable manner for the benefit of all community members.
