The Department of Health Service Support Director-General Tares Krassanairawiwong is reported to have said the committee tasked with developing Thailand into an international medical hub has approved guidelines for opening four more airports in the provinces for medical tourists.
He said these airports are U-Tapao, Samui, Chiang Mai and Phuket. No rationale has been offered for these choices including the omission of Hua Hin Airport from the list.
