The Thai Meteorological Department is forecasting, for the second week in a row, heavy rain for much of Thailand.

The active monsoon trough lies across the Central, the upper South and the East into the low pressure cell and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand.  

Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South regions.  

People in risky areas should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff.
The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 metres high and more than 3 metres high in thundershowers.  

All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore. The category 2 tropical depression over the middle South China Sea. It tends to make landfall over middle Vietnam on 16 October and downgrade to low pressure lateral.  

Isolated heavy to very heavy rain with strong winds will be forecast for the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions of Thailand.
