National park rangers are patrolling a river in Kanchaburi’s Sai Yok district today after a tourist was swept away and drowned while swimming there over the weekend.
Visitors are advised to exercise caution and wear life vests. The death of a number of swimmers in Kanchanaburi rivers have been recorded in recent years, including foreigners and Thai people who may underestimate strong current and river flows.
