Dr Erik Fleischman is an American anti-aging physician who has been treating patients for more than 25 years. He is one of the most experienced physicians with this specialty in Southeast Asia.
Dr Eric presented the latest information about anti-aging best practice responses on 21st August during a seminar at True Arena Hua Hin to an enthusiastic audience of around 40 eager participants, including some local doctors and other medical personnel.
These participants were able to gain a greater understanding about this fast developing area of medical specialty from someone at the forefront of current research and authentic medical practices.

Dr Erik’s impressive credentials began as an oncologist with specialty training in cancer treatment and infectious diseases with study in both the USA and Europe.
He has been a Senior Advisor for President William J. Clinton’s Health Foundation and to the US State Department. He was also a first responder physician during the Ebola crisis in West Africa in 2014 and is a medical consultant in over 25 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.
Before ‘discovering’ the opportunities presented by Thailand’s emerging medical expertise some 16 years ago, he was maintaining the health and beauty of many Hollywood A-list celebrities.
In Thailand Dr Erik became the International Medical Director of Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok before becoming the Executive Medical Director of the Bangkok Anti-Aging Center (BAAC) ten years ago. There is now three locations BACC locations in Bangkok which offer safe and effective state-of-the-art anti-aging treatments for patients to have longer, healthier and more energetic lives.

Royal Coast Review joined Richard and Leigh from Surf 102.5 FM to meet with Dr Erik prior to his Hua Hin presentation. The seminar is a familiar scenario for him as he presents similar sessions in Bangkok on a monthly basis as a part of the BAAC activities. He presents as a relaxed, sincere and very youthful 60 year old who clearly shows the benefits of the practices he espouses.
Dr Erik describes his transition from oncology to anti-aging medicine as a logical progression. Treating cancer patients who may have a terminal condition in part aims to improve a quality of life; including longevity, comfort and physical capacity. That’s a similar aim in responding to the issues facing those who may have reduced cognitive and physical prowess as they age.
He explains that advances made in recent years really can ensure a better quality of life as we age. That is a benefit no longer restricted to the rich and famous. As science moves towards treatment at a cellular level, the holy grail of eternal life is beckoning and not just a distant pipe dream.
Dr Eric is hoping that his Hua Hin visit will be a forerunner towards the region being offered much more in the field of anti-aging. Apart from future awareness raising sessions, perhaps he could consider a ‘sea change’ and be able to spend more time enjoying the Hua Hin lifestyle to the benefit of the city’s increasingly aging population.

After the session at True Arena, the Monsoon Valley Winery provided a tapas selection along with some fine wine. Dr Erik has no qualms about anyone enjoying such pleasures. He’s a realist who says a glass or two of red or beer or even a cigarette is OK as long as cost/benefit decisions are made and deliberate steps taken to ensure ongoing good health and longevity.
Dr Erik’s also revealed his own stress reduction activity; that’s singing in a heavy metal band in Bangkok!
