The 3rd year of the municipality monkey steralisation program is now taking place to continue efforts to control the population of monkeys at Chopsticks Hill (Khao Takiab) and Khao Hin Lek Fai.
The aim is to control population expansion and reduce the environmental impact of population on the community and local citizens, including preventing and controlling the health impacts.
The target is to spay 1,200 male and female male monkeys in and September with the initial program now underway until 31st July.
