The Royal Thai government has approved Monday, July 27th as a substitute Songkran holiday, prior to Tuesday, July 28th which is already a holiday observing the birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X).
This has resulted in a long weekend from July 25-28 (Saturday to Tuesday).
Both Hua Hin and Cha-Am are expecting a big influx of visitors, especially those taking another opportunity to escape the ‘Big Mango’ as the region continues to be at the forefront of a resurgence in domestic tourism.
