The Wildlife Friends Foundation has announced the passing of Dr John McGillivray, a stalwart of both the Foundation and the more recently established People and Animals clinic in Cha-Am.
The announcement states: “With a very heavy heart we sadly have to announce the passing of Dr. John McGillivray, our long-time supporter, volunteer, mentor and most of all dear friend. John was found dead a few days ago while away. John was 54 years old.
Over the last few years he has been an instrumental part of the Wildlife Friends Foundation, as he enhanced our wildlife hospital and was a mentor to our veterinary team at the wildlife rescue center. John further established the People & Animals clinic in Cha-am, where over the last few months he built a great team, guiding this project in to a great future. His legacy will live on through his invaluable contribution to the animals in Thailand.
John will be missed by all staff and volunteers at WFFT, he was kind soul whose love for animals can hardly be matched.
Numerous animals will be waiting for him on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, but so many on this side would have loved and needed to meet him.”
RIP Doctor John.
