More than 1,000 riders have join in a challenging cycling event in Hua Hin of 45 kilometres starting and finishing at Ratchapakdi Park.
The route included both uphill and downhill stretches around Banyan Golf Course.
On July 21st the event organised by the Hua Hin-Cha-Am Tourism together with Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin, Ms. Soraya Homchunphun TAT, Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, Mr Suphat Narongrit, Chairman of Prachuap Khiri Khan Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Amornthep Uammee Pian, from Market Village Hua Hin Shopping Centre.
Major General Prasarn Ruaydee, Commander of the Infantry Center presided over the event which was conducted for the second year.
Cyclists included local people of all ages and was attended by attended by over 1,000 people.
Mrs. Watsana Srikanjana, President of the Hua Hin-Cha-am Tourism Business Association, said that the event was organised to promote tourism in Hua Hin and to promote cycling as a popular form of exercise.
Thap Tai Park, a new recreational park, was included in the route with an emphasis on enjoying the exercise and natural surrounds rather than speed.
