AUGUST AOOD AMPAWA EXHIBITION

Baan Sillapin; Experiencing Hua Hin’s Vibrant Art Scene at the Artist's Village

During August but commencing on 27th July, a solo watercolour exhibition by award winning artist Aood Ampawa provides another incentive to visit Baan Sillapin.  The exhibition features Khun Aood’s affinity with the waterways, boats and aquatic lifestyle of this traditional Thai way of life.  His adoption of the ‘pen name’ Ampawa is a direct take from the Thai word for a floating market.

There are also workshops being planned under the tutelage of Khun Aood.  Enquiries for those interested in participating need to enquire directly with the Baan Sillapin management.

The grand opening of the exhibition is happening on the evening of Saturday 27th July when the many friends of Baan Sillapin will enjoy some musical ‘artists’ in a party scene and the chance to understand more about the exhibition and the Hua Hin and beyond art scene.

FOOTNOTE:  Khun Tawee is looking a more conservative these days and missing his trademark poney-tail hair style.  He says that frequent overseas trips, where his own art has been displayed in centres around Europe and the world, led to a decision to make his grooming easier; the pony-tail had to go!
