The first Prachuap Khiri Khan Regatta will take place 22 to 25 June. The regatta is for Optimists, Lasers and 420/470s.
The regatta is set to take place on the calm waters on the bay ocean-side of Prachuap Khiri Khan City with the following schedule:
.Saturday 22nd June: 10.00 registration followed by Practice Races from 1300 hours
Sunday 23rd, Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th June: racing begins at 10.00
Wednesday 25th June: Prize Presentations at 17.30.
Regional Clubs will be represented by the Three Bay Sailing Club, the Thap Sakae Sailing Club, the Prachuap Khiri Khan Sailing Club and the Hua Hin Sailing Club.
The Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan has previously expressed the view that our region is well positioned to develop and benefit from increased ocean based sport and leisure activities.
Let’s hope that this regatta is the forerunner of many more high profile sailing and other marine sports.
