Cha-am fishing boats have reported a Bruda whale off the Cha-Am beach in Phetchaburi.
The whale was seen feeding about 6 kilometres from shore by a fishing boat owner who said that the was around 10 metres in length and had been swimming and diving, opening its mouth to eat plankton.
The sighting is regarded as a good sign of the health of the ecology and abundance of marine life.
